As we already announced Apple might be unveiling a new iPhone this year; supposedly this June 22nd.

Rumors around the web today is that Apple apparently already booked a venue for the festivity: the Yerba Buena Center for Arts in San Francisco.

This info goes along with Apple’s track record of previous iPhone releases and with the time frame of OS 4.0 being released.

Here are some of the unconfirmed specs of the new iPhone handset will come with a A4-family CPU system-on-a-chip (SoC), 960 x 640 display, front-facing camera, and third-party multitasking courtesy of iPhone OS 4.0.

A 960 x 640 display is double the current iPhone resolution (480 x 320) and would do a fantastic job of displaying 720p (HD) video.
