Earlier today on RIM’s official blog the above video was posted along with the statement that BlackBerry 6 is still on track for release this summer!
The new video above shows off the:
- redesigned home screen
- universal search
- context-sensitive pop-up menus
- revamped BlackBerry Browser powered by WebKit
- new applications like Social Feeds (which integrates all your news and social networks into one destination) and more
The only issue I see is that this video and everything we have seen so far regarding BlackBerry 6 is that it’s only running on touchscreen devices which is awesome if RIM actually is going to bring a decent touchscreen device out (Storm 3, 9800 Slider).
Also which in-market devices will get the BB6 update? Is it only going to hit devices with 512MB of memory (or more)? Or will we see existing devices like the Bold 9700, Tour or Storm2 also get a BB6 update in time.
Let us know your thought on this new video in the comments below fellow Gizmofusion BB users
