Today was a big news day for Android fans and while its getting a little late on the east coast here in the US its never to late for for some more good news.  One of our Verizon informants just let us in on a few tidbits we think you might like.  While the public announcement of Android 2.3 only came today, Verizon and Motorola have of course already been getting builds ready for testing for their Droid lineup.

We are now hearing that Moto would very much like to get stable builds out for both the Droid X and Droid 2/Global by February.  We think this is a bold move, but a possible move, based on how fast and how well Moto can pump out updates for their lineup.  As far as HTC and Sammy, you can bet they would like to get stable updates out as well.  When we hear more we will bring it to you asap.
