So far, until today, we haven’t heard any news about a release date regarding Windows 8. All we have received lately was a new build leaked, 7989. Mary-Jo Foley, a very well known, and a friend of mine who is a Microsoft journalist has received information about Microsoft’s timeline with Windows 8. We know, that no project is ever released on time due to delays, and showstopper bugs and such.
According to zdnet.com, Windows 8 RTM is expected to occur in April 2012. We also are expected to see a beta land at BUILD 2011 ,September 13-16. IE 10 is expected to land here as well.
Of course, Microsoft will deliver an RC build before Windows 8 RTM. It will be pushing a 32-bit, 64-bit, and an ARM/SoC version of Windows 8 all at the same time.
Looks like Windows 8 will be available for back-to-school season next year! Are you excited? Let us know in the comments!
