Case Review: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer

Posted by

Today I am reviewing the Cooler Master Storm Enforcer. First off that is one beefy name anything with enforcer in it you know they mean business. Well CM definitely has the right idea with this case. The front is a brute as you see in the picture below it has a front mesh grill and covered front panel the cover door is plastic but it has a armored look to it like the original 1988 batmobile. Under that mesh front is a beefy 200mm red led fan so when its on not only do you have great airflow its got a stance. Also located on the front at the top you see the power button with 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 plus your mic and audio jacks. Now I have found 2 downsides with the front is that door. It feels like I was going to break it and the magnet holding it closed didn’t give me the security I was going for also it hides the reset button under it kind of a pain if you have it under your desk.

Now onto the side panel and the inside of the case. To start the side panel has a nice window that shows off your rig. Also it carries over the armored look pulled in the side panel towards the window. that is really all the side has to offer. To the inside. First off for the inside there are 6 3.5 bays, 2 2.5 bays, and 4 5.25 bays. So there is more than enough room for your storage. If you need more well you might just want to buy a server. But joking aside it fits what you need. You will also notice that the PSU has been moved to the bottom of the case for wire management and airflow under the PSU slot there is a mesh screen to stop dust from being pulled in also its removable so after a while just clean it off and replace it. The case itself supports Micro-ATX and ATM boards. On this for expansion slots you have 8 total. There is great wire management slots on the tray so you can run everything behind the board and maximize cooling. The case also has room for 2 more fans inside a rear 120mm fan and top 200mm fan but with the top you can swap them out for 2 120mm fans. There is also a cut out on the board for aftermarket CPU coolers back plates.

Now for the build of the computer. First off the install of everything was simple there was great room to move around in the case. the tool-less installation of the drives was great made it a lot easier not having to deal with the tiny screws. It only got tricky when the wire management came into play I got it done just when everything was zip tied down (which they included) you have to make sure it is all flat or getting on that back panel is a pain. Really the only other thing I would have liked to see is removable M/B tray. So in the end I have to say this is an impressive case. Here are the specs and some more picture. My verdict will come at the end.

Very good and informative review Andrew.

I know about the wire management.. when ever I have to clean my CM case (HAF 932) I always have a very hard time getting it on.

Did this CM case come with any dust filters for the fans??

It does for the PSU fan and the front both are very easy to get to for cleaning. The front panel just pops off with ease and the bottom slides out. Thank you for that question! Sorry it was missed in the review.
