Iris, or Siri backwards, is a direct competitor to Siri but on Android.  With Iris you can ask questions to your phone without having to type a single letter.  Say you want to know the weather, just ask Iris “whats the weather like today” and within a few seconds here comes the forecast along with some nice weather graphics.

Iris has been around for a few months now, and unlike when it was first announced and introduced, the app has seen some pretty major updates.  Check out the video preview from XDA (the video is based on a much older version and since is working rather well) and grab the latest version of Iris on the Android market.
