Steam Milestone: Five Million Concurrent Players

A new year brings new milestones.  Thanks to a tip from Andrew he let us know that Steam has now passed 5 million concurrent users.  We had to check it out for ourselves, and just as we were told, its true.  Steam had some awesome holiday sales, so its no surprise that they have had a surge in users on the service.  Will 2012 bring 6 million?  Time will tell.
