Review: Otterbox Commuter for Blackberry Torch

Sick of dropping your new Blackberry torch or just afraid you might crack your screen? Well today I have the answer for you. The folks over at Otterbox sent me the Commuter case for the Blackberry 9800 series. Hit the break for my views on this beast.

Now the first issue most people run into with cheaper cases is the cover for the slider screen. I have had issues with other cases breaking off a lot. But not with the Otterbox! It stays on even being dropped three times. Oops. The overall construction is great. Has a very solid feel, nice grip, and not too bulky.

The added bonus to the Otterbox cases is they all come with screen protectors. I found with some cases the rubber exterior usually picks up pocket lint or animal hair, but I didn’t run into that issue here. Personally the only issue I ran into was sliding the screen up due to the plastic bezel. But that was only at first after a bit it loosened up.

Finally the most important part, the construction of the case inside and out! On the inside to absorb the shock of a drop is a rubber silicone with a protective High-quality polycarbonate wrapped around it. The screen protector is a form fit cover so there is no cutting involved!

The price is very reasonable for the Commuter set at a low $34.95. So if you are looking at getting an amazingly strong case for your Torch or really any phone head over to Otterbox and see if they have your phone covered!
