If you remember I did a review if the original iHangy for the iPhone 3/3GS/4/4S. Now that the iPhone 5 is out with the Lightning connector Ontrion, the makers of the iHangy have updated their case to be compatible with the new size of the phone. Lets delve into the iHangy Slip In 5 and see how it works.
In the package for the Slip In 5 you get a two-part case, and the neck strap/ headphone combo. The two-part case consists of a silicone inner cover and a hard plastic outer shell. Just place you iPhone 5 into the silicone case and then slide the case into the outer plastic shell. Due to the grip of the silicone and the tightness which the phone and case fit into the outer shell, you don’t have to worry about your new iPhone 5 slipping out of the case and falling to its doom.
For listening to music the iHangy Slip In 5 comes with a Neck Strap/ Headphone combo. This has the headphone cables integrated into the neck strap. This not only protects the cables from damage but also makes one less set of cables to be hanging from your neck.
To attach the Neck Strap to your phone all you have to do is press the buttons at the base of the neck strap to retract the safety pins, and slide it into the outer shell of the Slip In 5. This gives you a very secure connection between the strap and your phone and keeps it from coming apart. Then just plug-in the 3.5mm headphone jack and your good to go.
The Slip In 5 is a nice upgrade from the original iHangy and lets people continue to use this great product with their new iPhone. This is not only a functional product for those people who like to listen to music while keeping active, but also provides a little extra protection when just using the case.
For $30 this is one of the most economical and functional ways you can protect your device and still use it. The iHangy Slip In 5 comes in Black, White, and Pink and is available from Ontrion or from the Amazon Store
