Dishonored – A Cheap Game That Blows Away Anything Currently Out

With the holiday’s near some of us are a bit wiser in our video game buying, as age and knowledge has taught us “never buy a new generation console right away”.  Actually.. Let’s change that to “time to move on from traditional consoles completely” as those of us on a budget realize consoles suck the money right out of you.  If you fall into the same category but still enjoy playing video games Steam is where all the cool kids are hanging out today.  Free to download, install, sign up and play.  All you pay for are the games, and for the most part, the games are ultra cheap.

One such game I recently bought was Dishonored, released in October 2012 to high acclaim.  I wont get into a full review or even preview really, as the reason I am writing this is to give budget gamers out there another game they could get into on the cheap.  The game is brilliant.  The story is exciting and drags you right in, the gameplay is intense as it’s not just about killing the enemy but rather completing missions and being as stealth as possible.  All around Dishonored is fun, exciting, plays great even on not the newest of PC hardware and the best part.. cheap.  Just wait until the winter sale, which should be in a couple of weeks and pick this game up.

There is no reason to game on console anymore. Steam is more affordable, has more games to offer, backward compatible and without “Live” fees. I plan to pick up Dishonored during the winter sale,,, that is, if Humble Bundle doesn’t have the game in a package before.
