When Gears of War 3 was delayed I have to admit it was a big disappointment.  Having to wait until this fall is torture when your a huge fan of the Gears series.  The story, scenery, characters all play a huge role in why Gears of War has become a huge success.  I always thought nothing could really take its place between games, even COD which I tried to get into but is just a total mess of a game.  Then comes along Bulletstorm.  I think to myself, a FPS game similar to Gears in story and design?  Cant be that good.  Boy was...

Deputy Minister Le Nam Thang made this clear: Provincial departments of information and communication will inspect on-line games activities nationwide and deal with organisations that violate regulations by cancelling...

Speaking at developers day at Microsoft Switzerland on Wednesday, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer confirmed that Internet Explorer 9 is due out very soon, as in the next month or so. “There’s a lot of great things going on broadly, enhancements that we’ve made, not only in Windows but Internet Explorer 9 which will be available here in the next month or so.” Ballmer says Internet Explorer 9 is a “great piece of work” and that “it will be the best browser…that you’ve ever used.” The RC (release candidate) version of IE9...

We have seen dozens of personal Kinect hacks over the past few months, some of which could be used in the near future for pretty amazing stuff.  Microsoft realizes this and has decided to put their guard down.  Come this spring Microsoft will release an SDK for the PC so anyone can learn about how Kinect works and develop PC applications to use with their Kinect. “As breakthrough technologies like these reach scale, the resulting creativity and invention will open up a whole new world of possibilities for computing,” said...

Better late then never I guess.  Mark Rein, VP at Epic Games, has Tweeted that the PC demo for Bulletstorm, currently due tomorrow for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, is in the works.  The demo wont launch until after tomorrow’s release, but at least PC users will get a taste of the game if they dont go out to buy it on day 1.  Xbox 360 and PS3 users have enjoyed a demo for about a month now. ...

RIM caught a lot of heat when the first BlackBerry Storm launched, for its lackluster performance to extremely laggy OS they had an uphill battle from the start.  The Storm2 fixed some of the flaws from that initial launch but did the outcry cause the Storm line to be to little to late? We all know the Storm3 is in full development swing, and one of our informants just hit us up with something interesting.  It appears that RIM might be changing the name of their next 100 percent touchscreen device on Verizon, and not call it a Storm3....

If you have ever tried to send a file via bluetooth from one phone to another I would bet the bank that it was more difficult than it should ever be.  Pairing the device, sending the file, and ending the connection should be seamless.   Google would like to make that possible with NFC (near field communication).  The idea is simple.  You use NFC to “scan” what you would like to send a file to, such as another mobile, and the bluetooth protocol is used to actually transfer said file. Android OS 2.3.3 is currently in testing...
