First this AM we were able to see the latest from EA and DICE with the first gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3 and now THQ does not want to disappoint, as they have unveiled their latest trailer at GDC for Homefront.  Taking place in the year 2027 Homefront is a war in which North Korea invades the US and the war is on our soil for the first time.  Check out their latest trailer after the break. ...

When developers release new trailers you always wonder, can they really make the game look this good?  Most of the time, its just not true.  Unless… the trailer is made entirely of gameplay footage from a game that is in alpha form.  Yes, alpha form.  The FPS genre will be out of control in 2011 with Battlefield 3, Homefront, and Brink all coming out.  Its good to be a gamer. ...

It appears that Treyarch feels the need to have a double XP weekend. Why is that odd?  Lets see…. This will be the first time in series history that any COD game will have an XP weekend event so soon after the last. They have also taken a beating in the press lately for the mess of a game they released, that has seen over a dozen title updates or live fixes just to try and fix something that is broken.  Really, over a dozen folks. Oh… and there is this sleeping giant called Gears 3 coming out this fall that’s gotten...

Remember yesterday when we reported on someone banking over 500 kills in a Call of Duty: Black Ops match?  Well it turns out it was not only true, but Activision has since banned the users account from playing Black Ops as well as resetting their stat’s.  Even when trying to prove a point that the game is broken the player looses out.  Sorry Activision, you lost another customer, not that I feel bad or anything. ...

There are days I stand on the platform, waiting to go to work, and I check my phone to kill time until the train arrives.  There are other days where you get to listen to a music artist play to their hearts content.  If I ever get the chance to watch Boba Fett playing the “Lost Woods” theme from Zelda on an accordion in the subway, I would consider that a good day.  Enjoy folks. ...

We had a great turnout for last weeks contest, and its time to announce our winners! ...

In what most people would find sort of shocking is the news coming from a Danish study, published by the Rockwool Foundation Research Unit,  where participants were questioned on the morals and ethics of piracy.  In the piracy section respondents were asked to rate, on a scale from 1 to 10, whether they thought unauthorized downloading for personal use is a socially acceptable act.  The researchers found that 7 out of 10 of those questioned felt, to a greater or lesser degree, that it is socially acceptable.  15-20% of the...

One of the biggest phone rumors in history, which spanned a few years now, has to be the iPhone launching on Verizon.  This past February that rumor finally came true, and for many, the ability to hold a call on their beloved iPhone was possible (at least we thought so).   Now we have word of how well the phone sold for Verizon’s launch, and while crossing the 1 million mark sounds good, its nothing compared to ATT’s iPhone 4 day 1 launch numbers of around 1.7 million. We have a good idea though why these numbers...
