Best 7 Prebuilt Gaming PCs Under $1000 in 2019

For some gamers out there, the hassle of collecting parts and building your own PC is just unappealing. Just because you enjoy gaming does not mean you have the knowledge to build your own platform to do so. Because of this, many gamers opt to buy prebuilt PC’s online or in-store.

The only issue with this is that often when trying to find what you think will meet all of your gaming needs, you are often found choosing between very pricey prebuilds. This does not have to be the case, as often people end up buying PC’s that completely exceed their requirements.

The Best Options for Under $1000

Below are the best 7 prebuilt options for under $1000. Each of these gaming rigs excels in their own right but some do shine more than others. Read on to see which system we rate the best.

SkyTech Legacy Mini

SkyTech Legacy Mini

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 | GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 | RAM: 16GB DDR4 | STORAGE: 500GB SSD

  More than capable CPU
  Excellent GPU
Potentially not enough storage

The SkyTech Legacy Mini is the perfect example of older and newer components coming together to create a reliable and efficient PC. The Ryzen 7 1700 8-Core 3.0 GHz is an older CPU but is very easy to overclock and is powerful in multi-core workloads. However, realistically you won’t need more than 4 cores.

The Legacy Mini also has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card which is more than capable of keeping a high frame rate, meaning there will be absolutely no issue running the most current and high demanding games.

With high clock speeds and the ability to ray trace, this GPU isn’t falling behind any time soon. It is also supported by a 600 watt PSU, meaning you don’t have to worry about your GPU being underpowered.

With 16GB of DDR4 RAM, whether or not this PC will be capable of running the latest game will never be questioned and with a heat spreader, any desire to overclock will not create worries of poor heat dissipation. As well as the support of Windows 10 operating system which can be optimized to deliver and assist your gaming experience.

The only issue with the PC is that the storage is lacking, only offering 500GB of SSD. Which, as I’ve previously stated, just isn’t enough for having several memory hungry games installed at once. However, this would be completely fine if you had no intention of having a number of high-end games all installed at once.

But for those who play a number of high-end games on rotation and also house a lot of other data, there is the option to add additional storage.

At least The SkyTech Legacy Mini promises no bloatware, meaning the storage you do have is not wasted.

It also has some helpful additional features, like a Wraith Spire LED cooler and 3 RING RGB LED Fans to ensure there are no issues with overheating.

SkyTech Blaze II

SkyTech Blaze II

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4GHz | GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI 6GB GDDR6 | RAM: 8GB | STORAGE: 500GB SSD

More than capable of running most games
Not enough storage

This powerful gaming PC does not face any challenges when it comes to running any games. Bragging an A320 Motherboard and AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, the SkyTech Blaze II is already set with the good base of a powerful gaming PC.

The Ryzen 5 2600 is one of the best CPUs around today. What is good about the 2600 is how easy overclocking is. You are only limited to the abilities of your GPU, unlike other options such as the Intel Core-i5 or i7. The SkyTech Blaze II is also paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 GPU with 6BG of RAM.

This GPU delivers a good memory bandwidth and is capable of running most games without any FPS concerns, even being capable of some of the more advanced abilities, such as RTX shading in games. This GPU is not falling behind in the current market any time soon. This is powered by a sturdy 500 watt 80 PLUS certified PSU, meaning you don’t need to worry about your GPU not reaching its full potential, especially considering that other components of this PC are not exactly watt hungry.

Its certification also guarantees no power wastage, meaning this PC saves on money. The Blaze II also offers a promising 8GB of RAM. This is more than enough to run all current AAA games, however, there is always the option of adding more RAM if 8GB does not fulfill your needs. But what is important to remember is that usually you simply won’t need more than 8GB and so you are not wasting your investment, unlike if you were to go for 16GB of RAM which you will never fully utilize. Your memory is also aided by a nifty heat spreader which lowers temperatures and supports a more stable performance.

As long as you’re not looking for a hardcore gaming experience, the SkyTech Blaze II has you covered. There is only one component of that potentially compromises the appeal of this PC. This is the fact that it operates on a 500GB Solid State Drive.

This is good in the way that it is up to 30x faster than using a traditional HDD, this increase in speed is caused by the lack of reliance it has on a disk, also making it more secure. The issue is the 500GB of storage just isn’t enough for someone that plans on having many high-end games installed at once.

You can easily upgrade the storage though if you wish. It is just completely dependent on whether or not you’re willing to spend the extra money. There are other aspects that support the power of the SkyTech Blaze II including the Windows 10 OS that is famous for only aiding your gaming experience.

The SkyTech Blaze II also offers a pleasant gaming experience aesthetically. With its glass case and impressive lighting, it is nice to look at. 4 RBG fans also promise quiet gameplay and the 4 x USB 3.1 gen ports and 2 x USB 2.0 ports mean you never have to worry when it comes to connectivity.

Overall, this PC is just a great and reasonably priced gaming option.

iBUYPOWER Element 9260

iBUYPOWER Element 9260

CPU: Intel Core i7 | GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI 6GB GDDR6 |
RAM: 16GB | STORAGE: 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD

Ability to run all games
Very powerful PC
Unimpressive PSU

The iBUYPOWER Element 9260 is a mammoth of a machine, not holding back on components that deliver a powerful gaming experience. Operating on a powerful Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM there are absolutely no concerns when it comes to the capability of this gaming system.

The i7 is ideal for high tier gaming, coming overclocked with turbo boosting guarantees a higher clock speed. This simply means games and other applications will run faster and smoother. However, this overclocking may compromise the accompanied 500 watt PSU, potentially compromising your gameplay.

However, the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 GPU that this PSU supports peaks at around 200-300 wattage so there probably won’t be any issues with how your PC runs. The use of this GPU also means that you are guaranteed some of the highest quality gaming available on the market. Another feature of the iBUYPOWER Element 9260 is its 16GB of RAM.

This is an impressive amount of RAM and means you will definitely be able to run any game you want, but is it too much? 8GB of RAM has you covered on pretty much all games but in today’s evolving market, for a PC under $1000 there really is no harm in having that extra RAM. This means in later years you won’t need to spend extra money adding additional RAM to your PC.

Having this much RAM would also be beneficial to people like streamers, where 8GB simply isn’t enough. The iBUYPOWER Element 9260 also runs on a Windows 10 OS, meaning you receive all necessary support on all games and also more up to date VR.

The storage provided is more than you’ll ever need, with a 1TB HDD and 240GB of SDD, there is no concern when it comes to storage, but once again it begs the question of is it too much? Do you really need that much storage and is this another aspect that increases the price?

Appearance-wise once more this system provides a nice sleek look with its tempered glass and 16 RGB lighting case, creating that exciting gaming atmosphere. The PC also comes with all the necessary connectivity with; 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x DVI, 1 x HDMI port and 1 x display port, meaning there is no issue when it comes to your connectivity needs.

SkyTech Shiva

SkyTech Shiva

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4GHz | GRAPHICS: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 | RAM: 16GB DDR4 | STORAGE: 500GB SSD

Fulfills all gaming requirements
Loud fans
Pricey for what you get
Small storage

The SkyTech Shiva is simply a very impressive PC. It has all the bases of a good gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 2600 6-core 3.4 GHz processor and A32OM Motherboard. This PC does not compromise on power or speed.

With its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 achieving over 60 FPS, the highest-rated AAA games are not an issue as this is a top of the range GPU. This is fantastic considering that these days games are usually GPU intensive rather than CPU intensive, but even if that was the case, the SkyTech Shiva would not let you down, bragging an astounding Ryzen 5 2600 processor which is only limited by the power of a GPU.

The GPU is also supported by a 500 watt 80 PLUS certified PSU, meaning there are no worries that the GPU will be able to run to its full potential. The only issue with this PSU is that it has noticeably loud fans, but this is often the case with high load PCs. Ultimately the GPU is a powerhouse in any gaming pc and therefore will not let you down.

The SkyTech Shiva also has an impressive 16GB of DDR4 RAM, meaning not have all of the necessary RAM to play any game. It also operates at a lower voltage, making it more power-efficient. This is also supported by a Windows 10 OS, meaning having an efficient and none compromised gaming experience is always fully assisted.

The only issue this PC has is storage, only offering 500GBs of SSD which just isn’t enough for having many high-end games installed at once. This is easily fixed by adding more storage, but when you’re buying a prebuilt PC, you buy it with the expectation to not have to make any immediate alterations.

However, this amount of storage being enough completely depends on the gaming experience you’re looking for. As long as you don’t plan on having many memory heavy games installed at once the 500GB should be perfectly fine.

It could be recommended that keeping other things such as movies and photos on external hard drives would be beneficial as it means there’s no wasted memory on your PC. Even with the limited storage, the SkyTech Shiva promises no Bloatware, meaning none of your limited storage is wasted.

Connectivity-wise it has you covered on everything you can expect from a gaming PC. Providing 4 x USB 3.1 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, a single HDMI port, an Ethernet port and audio/mic inputs, alongside a built-in Wi-Fi antenna for wireless networks which is pretty standard.

Overall, the SkyTech Shiva is a good gaming PC. It offers an impressive amount of RAM and has the potential to provide some seriously high-quality gameplay. But it falls behind on other aspects such as storage and lack of real innovation, because of this I can’t say it is the best option within this price range.

Centaurus Andromeda A5

Centaurus Andromeda A5

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.0GHz | GRAPHICS: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 |
RAM: 16GB DDR4 | STORAGE: 240GB SSD + 2TB HDD

  Fast
Not good for higher quality games

When first looking at the Centaurus Andromeda A5 with its tempered glass-paneled case, it automatically looks like a quality gaming PC. It comes with a turbo-boosted and overclockable AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.0GHz processor, meaning you are guaranteed all of the speed you need.

However, the B350 Motherboard does not fully support overclocking and so this leaves some features of the CPU redundant. The Centaurus Andromeda A5 has 16GB of DDR4 RAM, once more meaning you have plenty of RAM to play the latest games, while also being power efficient. This is also supported by a Wraith spire cooler, which is generally a good cooler unless you plan on overclocking. This cooler generally supports lower intensity gaming.

The GPU that this PC comes with is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 supported by an 80 PLUS certified PSU. This GPU is not the best option when it comes to gaming. It’s capable of running most games on medium settings but falls short when under the pressure of high load games, being unable to break 60 fps or achieve 4k.

So if that is your desire then this PC is probably not the one for you. However, like most gaming PCs on the current market, the Centaurus Andromeda A5 runs on the Windows 10 OS.

Storage wise the Andromeda A5 does not let you down. offering 2TB of HDD and 240GB of SSD storage. This means that you get the best of both worlds when it comes to storage and will probably never have the need to invest in an external hard drive, meaning there are no additional costs to what you have already paid.

Once again, the Andromeda A5 does not lack speed, promising a less than 10 second boot time. This means there is no waiting around to get onto your favorite game.

Overall this gaming PC is a good option for people wanting a mid-tier system, but I would not recommend it for those looking for a more intensive experience. It also offers your basic needs in connectivity.

iBUYPOWER Elite PRO9400

iBUYPOWER Elite PRO9400

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.6GHz | GRAPHICS: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 |
RAM: 16GB DDR4 | STORAGE: 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD

  Reliable Computer
Challenged with AAA games
Generally unimpressive

The iBUYPOWER Elite PRO9400 automatically comes across as a decent mid-tier gaming computer. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core 3.6GHz CPU is good in terms of gaming achievement, but only when matched with a good GPU as AMD is known to lag behind other processors such as Intel by quite a bit.

The only issue is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 GPU that is also provided is not too powerful, but combined you can still get some very promising gameplay for most current games on the market. This dedicated card is also VR ready meaning using this will not make you fall behind in gaming’s constantly evolving climate.

The Elite PRO9400 also gives you a nice 16GB of DDR4 RAM, once again being very power efficient and also being plenty of RAM for all current games on the market. Due to its reasonable price, this is a nice addition as you really are getting your money’s worth. Matched with the other components of the PC, you are guaranteed some stress-free playing on most games, which is more than enough for the casual player.

Once again you are very set connectivity wise having: 4 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x RJ-45 Network Ethernet port and one Audio: 7.1 Channel, which is pretty much the standard expectation when buying a prebuilt PC.

The storage provided is more than satisfying, with 1TB HDD and 240GB SSD you never need to worry about exceeding the storage capacity. This means there is plenty of room for all of your gaming needs and no need to waste money purchasing an additional hard drive.

Overall this is a good PC for running games on mid settings. Its pricing is reasonable and it is not likely that you’ll have to sink any money into upgrading in the near future. However, for those in need of some higher load gameplay, this probably isn’t the one for you.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Master

CyberpowerPC Gamer Master

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 | RAM: 16GB DDR4 | STORAGE: 500GB SSD

  Reliability
  Good price
Compromise of 4K

The Gamer Master is one of the most advanced computers on this list with its AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, offers a top tier performance and plenty of room to upgrade in the future. Many mainstream gamers favor the AMD B450 chipset motherboard that the Gamer Master utilizes as it is coined for its reliability and high-performance speed.

Storage-wise it has a reasonable 500GB SSD, which as previously stated isn’t enough for lots of memory-hungry games being installed at once, however, if you can keep the numbers of games down this is absolutely fine.

An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 GPU is used within the Gamer Master, which though is not the most powerful GPU, still has the capability to run most games to a high standard. However, this is with the sacrifice of 4k.

It also has 16GB of DDR4 RAM, meaning every game you could desire would run perfectly fine on this PC. This is also the ideal set up combination for streamers and they don’t need to worry about it lagging behind.

Connectivity-wise, the CyberpowerPC Gamer Master provides more than you’ll ever need with 1 x HDMI port, 1 x Display port, 6 x USB 3.1 ports and 2 x USB 2.0 ports. This means all of your external data and dating sharing needs are completely covered.

The CyberpowerPC Gamer Master simply has everything that you need. What I like about it is how straightforward and dependable it is while also integrating modern and older components.

It is a PC that you can keep for years before needing to make any upgrades, however, I cannot name this the best PC on the list because the GPU is not good enough for high-end gaming and the lack of 4k just takes away from that immersive experience.

Best Overall Buy

SkyTech Legacy MiniIssues with storage aside, I can safely say that the SkyTech Legacy Mini is the best-prebuilt PC for under $1000 on the market today. It has a fantastic combination of CPU and GPU, and with 16GB of RAM, this PC should remain working to the highest qualities for years to come.

Nothing is compromised in this PC when it comes to your gaming experience and because of this, I find it hard to allow it to go unnoticed and ranked below other gaming PCs with larger storage capacities that don’t achieve the quality of the SkyTech Legacy Mini.
